On the road to recovery

In a showing to silence the critics and those concerned, Paul George notched his 30th 30-point performance of the season. The man they call Young Trece knocked down quatro ‘treces’ on his way to a 31 point game that saw him shoot 12-of-25 from the field and 4-of-13 from downtown.

Many fans and pundits have expressed concern as to how much PG’s shoulder injury still hampers him. Though it’s clear he still has a way to go before being his complete MVPG self, traces of a silky smooth Playoff-P were witnessed to many Thunder fans’ relief.

George got neither too high, nor too low as he seemed relaxed on the court and let his game build as the clock wore on. For a minute there, PG was making everything he threw up and could do no wrong, as witnessed in the clip below:

For better or worse, the Thunder’s success heavily relies on its star power in Paul George and Russell Westbrook, so it’s good to see PG continue to mend and watch his game develop back into what it was before the All-Star break. OKC is going to need his very best if the Thunder hope to improve upon last year’s first round playoff exit in pursuit of loftier goals.
