For all the bad that can be said about what could have and should have been better, there is one fact that trumps it all – the OKC Thunder got the win. Not only that, but it was another revenge match over a tough opponent.
Oklahoma City’s defense pretty well kept Bojan Bogdanovic and Domantas Sabonis in check while essentially shutting down the rest of Indiana’s offensive contributions. There were no major lapses in effort, and Westbrook notched his 29th triple-double of the season with a stat line of 17 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, and one block.
With that said, Oklahoma City got off on the right foot with a complete 48-minute game to start their five game home stretch as they seek to make up ground in the Western Conference standings.
Up next, the Thunder welcome the second seed Denver Nuggets to Chesapeake Energy Arena in what is expected to be OKC’s toughest match-up during this five game home stretch. The drama continues on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.
