With each loss the Kings slide deeper into lottery territory which sucks because of all the teams who are vying for the postseason Sacramento is the one squad who could use the experience the most.

Think back to 2009, when the OKC Thunder youngsters got their first taste of postseason play. It served to motivate Westbrook, Durant, and company for the next two years where they experienced deeper runs in the two subsequent seasons.

Even reaching the eighth seed and getting swept would offer plenty of lessons for the Kings youngsters to use as motivation. Their odds of getting there now remain remote and it appears to be only a matter of time before they are mathematically eliminated.
