NBA Power Rankings: Battle for seeding priority of OKC Thunder and peers
For the moment the Heat holds the final playoff seed in the Eastern Conference but their hold on that spot is tenuous at best. The good news is Goran Dragic appears to be functioning at full health and his presence on the reserve unit is providing the Heat with two solid lineups who make it difficult for teams to gain an edge on either. For the top teams it’s easier since the top Heat lineup doesn’t exactly equate but with both lineups never taking their foot off the gas squads lacking depth are in tough unless they build leads through their starting rotations.
On the season the Heat tied the Pistons and Hornets with two wins each and currently own the tiebreak over Brooklyn up 2-1 but play them on the final game this season. Only the Magic own the tiebreak over Miami.
