I spent an entire game isolating on Damian Lillard and what a revelation. His game this season cannot be sped up — first, he makes sure to get his teammates rolling. It was fascinating to watch how he surveys the court and I found myself seeing the game through his eyes and precisely how much growth he’s experienced this season in comparison to just one year ago.

Nurkic is the wild card because in games where he excels the Blazers tend to win with a wide margin whereas games where he’s kept under wraps it’s a much closer decision.

Still, this team rolls as Damian Lillard does and in a seven game series he’s one of the few players in the NBA who could win a few games all by himself!
