Looking at each of the Eastern powerhouses offers insights into what may be in store in the postseason. In the case of the Pacers, the squad rebounded well without Victor Oladipo. Each of the Celtics and Raptors, in particular, fared well without their top stars. But in the cases of the 76ers and Bucks, the numbers aren’t quite as fortuitous.

Without Embiid the 76ers were 6-7 and 0-1without Ben Simmons (also pointing to their luck with overall health. Although the reformulated starting five still looks like it might be the best of the east the lack of depth continues to rear its ugly head. And, if Embiid can’t stay on the floor this factor alone could be the difference in winning or losing a pivotal game in a series.
