My bitter Betty statement and question of the week —–Mike D’Antoni is credited with being the inventor of the current era of fast paced offense (which he introduced amazingly 14 seasons ago in Phoenix. So— why does it feel like watching paint dry when I watch a Rockets game?

To clarify the bitter Betty reference is me pointing at myself because I don’t enjoy the Rockets style. Still, the above point is valid. This because what made the Suns offense so exciting was the “seven-second” portion of it and how quickly the ball zipped up the court. Turns out my eye test (and aversion for the Rockets style) has merit as Houston ranks 28th of the 30 teams for pace
