After a few weeks of dominating their competition (13-5), the Pistons dropped three games in a row. As they say, old habits die hard and for as much as Dwane Casey has brought a new mindset to the Pistons he is still using some of his most challenged techniques to get wins. These include the overutilization of his top star(s).
Casey was forced by management to make a change last season regarding his star players usage in Toronto. This came about after he played Kyle Lowry the second and third most minutes while playing DeMar DeRozan the 10th and 14th most in the Associaton. Cut to the Pistons and Blake Griffin is being played the 9th most of all NBA players.
