With this week’s focus on a key stat or impressive player, the one which arguably stands out for the Knicks is the number of days until this summer’s draft.
Although some in the Mecca are doing backflips over Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett and Ja Morant I’m not sure any of those stellar Duke products would be enough individually (or even added to the Knicks current youthful assets) to move the needle. Rather, adding a free agent or two is inherent on the Knicks returning to prominence.
Then again what are the odds of those free agents coming? We’ll dive deeper into that question next week.
