NBA Power Rankings: OKC Thunder and peers jockey for position
Everyone expected the Clippers would eventually fall off in a similar fashion to what happened with the Kings. But, Doc Rivers crew just refused to curl up and go to sleep in a corner.
Collectively, the Clippers squad offers copious players who have something to prove. Players who other franchises gave up on like Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Parick Beverley, and Danilo Gallinari. Quality youngsters in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jerome Robinson plus two other youngsters who the Clippers outright stole in Landry Shamet and Ivica Zubac.
Although LouWill may be the closest thing the Clippers have to a star what makes this squad so hard to beat is collectively every player is above average at their position. While most teams work up their game plans with a view to primary, secondary and tertiary scorers the Clippers come at you with whoever is on the floor. That in itself makes them a tough out.
