Playoff P arrives early as OKC Thunder best Rockets in thriller – player grades

Overall Jerami Grant played what was a typical game for him. There were a couple of missed wide open 3-point shots we’ve seen Grant hit on the season. Those are shots he’ll hopefully connect on more frequently as it would give the Thunder breathing room in playoff games. And it would be nice to have a tertiary option to George and Westbrook so defenses can’t cheat off him.

If we learned anything from tonight, it’s that opponents will slack off Grant inviting him to shoot. He needs to make them pay when they do.

Overall however he provided a decent showing of 10 points, five rebounds, an assist along with a key steal and block but shot only 3 of 10 from the line.

Defensively he was adequate, impacted more by Billy Donovan giving him an unnecessary (and badly timed) hook. That said, it would be nice to see him a bit more active especially against athletic front court players.
