In a special Easter in the news edition T.I.  features OKC Thunder fans getting in on the scoring outburst, the ‘next question’ and that awesome Westbrook block on Dame.

‘Next Question’:

If you’re an OKC Thunder fan then you’re more than familiar with this storyline. Berry Tramel infamously asked Russell Westbrook questions about his free throws after a loss to the Lakers. Although Westbrook hit the pivotal shots to tie the game his efforts during the game weren’t as efficient. Post game Russ wasn’t in the mood to talk about the free throws (likely because they lost) and made a point to say ‘I don’t want to talk about free throws’. Tramel persisted and the rest is history.

Since that point in time, Tramel gets the ‘next question’ treatment from Russ every time he asks a question.

The reason it’s become ‘a thing’ in these playoffs is partially due to the NBA Game Time crew who laughed about the post game podium where as per usual Tramel got the ‘next question’ treatment. Paul George also got in on the act using the same response when he was asked about his game ending dunk.

Earlier in the week, Portland Trail Blazers Head Coach began his pregame media session by asking Berry if he had a question which was met by laughter in the media room.

Beastbrook in motion:

Speaking of Russell Westbrook, the ongoing feud between himself and Damian Lillard was on full display in Game 3. The banter between the pair was non-stop in this match. And while Westbrook took to verbal interaction and rocking the baby the definitive moment of the duo’s battle may well have been the powerful block Russ administered on Dame.

The $20,000 shot:

Perhaps it was a harbinger of things to come. Through two games in Portland, the Thunder were struggling to hit the net and no one was immune to bricking the ball. So, when not one but two different OKC Thunder fans hit a half court shot for to earn $20k it sure seemed like the flood gates had opened for everyone at Chesapeake.

As per the OKC Thunder tweet above the fans who won the money were Derek Williamson and Jesse Norman.

Funny thing is I was thinking back to when franchises started this practice and it used to be worth significantly more money if you could hit the shot from half court. Like we’re talking $1 million dollars. I guess with basketball and the NBA being so popular more people have taken up the sport even the fans are more adept at long range shots.

dark. Next. Stats hint Paul George’s ‘Playoff P’ is ready for his series debut

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter. Enjoy the game Thunder Nation. Let’s get it!
