The OKC Thunder are well represented in the Big3 this season

The BIG3 Draft took place today and the OKC Thunder were able to see three former players make it onto active rosters.

Kendrick Perkins, who played a key role in the 2012 finals team for the OKC Thunder, is a co-captain of the Aliens. A rare OKC Thunder sharpshooter in Anthony Morrow is a co-captain on the Bivouac. Perry Jones III, who the OKC Thunder got in the infamous James Harden trade, has been placed as a co-captain on team Enemies. Nate Robinson who spent four games with the OKC Thunder is a co-captain for the Tri-State team. Wow, look at all those captains that the OKC Thunder culture has churned out.

Ryan Gomes has been drafted by team Power, while former OKC Thunder players Joe Smith and Ronnie Brewer went undrafted.

Seattle SuperSonics great Gary Payton is the head coach of the Three Headed Monsters. Former Supersonics forward, Rashard Lewis is playing on the Three Headed Monsters.

Other notes around the Big3:

More from Thunderous Intentions

NBA finals legend Deshawn Stevenson is a co-captain for team Ball hogs, and he is teammates with White Momba himself, Brian ScalabrineGreg Oden who was picked above Kevin Durant allowing the OKC Thunder to enjoy the MVP and second best player in the league will look to bounce back in the Big3 with team Aliens.

Agent Zero, Gilbert Arenas will be leading team Enemies along with OKC Thunder teammate Perry Jones, and former Laker Lamar Odom. Glenn Big Baby Davis will be a co-captain on team Power.

Jason the Jet Terry will lead the way for Trilogy.

Mario Chalmers who has won an NCAA Championship, and two NBA Championships including a title over the OKC Thunder, will look to bring the Three Headed Monsters a BIG3 title.

Metta World Peace will lead the Killer 3’s and fittingly, the sharpshooting Joe Johnson will look to carry the Triplets.

My prediction to come out of the BIG3 victorious has to be team Enemies. With Lamar Odom and Gilbert Arenas leading the way, and Perry Jones in a league that he should dominate, this team seems to have the best top three.

The BIG3 will get underway with Season 3 on June 22nd with games on Saturday and Sunday’s on CBS and CBS Sports Network. The league will last every weekend until September 1st.
