Closing Thoughts

With all the improvements we’ve seen with T-Ferg this season, there’s a lot for him to improve on. Ferguson tends to be chaotic at points when he has the ball, finding himself passing out of shots or dribbling recklessly.

Earlier this season, Russell Westbrook met up with Ferguson after a game and gave him a speech about having confidence in his shot. He used this as fuel and started to shoot much better.

More from Thunderous Intentions

I think Ferg is in need of another confidence boost, but this time, focused around his dribbling and driving. We have seen his ability to get to the basket with ease, but he’s struggled finishing once there. Luckily with two of the best finishers in the league as mentors, (Russell Westbrook and Paul George) he should be able to improve his efficiency at the rim.

In addition to working on his game, it’s also important for him to develop more strength over the offseason. This was a topic Terrance mentioned in his exit interview, and something he plans to improve over the summer.

Final Grade: C+

Considering the difficulty of the position Terrance Ferguson has been put in, it’s only fair to give him the benefit of the doubt. With the development of his three-pointer along with his active defensive mindset, T-Ferg seems to have a similar playing style to Raptors role player Danny Green. Someone who contributes quality minutes along with a solid amount of points. If he continues with steady improvement, that’s a type of player the OKC Thunder could heavily utilize.

As highlighted in TI’s exit interview article series, Ferguson will spend time working with backup point guard Raymond Felton to better his playing style.

With his offseason training, we can hope for even more improvements in Terrance Ferguson’s game for next season.
