Final thoughts
To be clear, I do not believe Dennis Schröder has peaked in any way. He has a full season with Oklahoma City under his belt, and what was once a new role for him will be his comfort zone moving forward. A few tweaks in his game is all that is required to advance his career and give his team another boost.
More specifically, I would like to see his game level out in consistency. Over several months, his average per game statistics appear rather constant, but he can be a bit polar from one night to the next. Secondly, he needs to clean up his passing and accentuate his mid-range shooting a bit. Neither are horrendous, but as a point guard he is a game manager and facilitator, so those two factors should become more of his bread and butter.

Finally, Schröder loves to complete layups and short range jumpers over defenders when driving to the bucket. For as much as he relies on that shot, he sure does miss plenty of them. If he wants that to be a signature move he can rely on, then he needs to commit to fine tuning that technique down to a science and making that shot more than 80 percent of the time.
In summary, Dennis Schröder is clearly a desirable piece the OKC Thunder will keep in the fold. He will be a mainstay the team can build around for the next couple years in the hopes of letting him help guide the reserve unit to a higher standard closer to what the starters deliver.
Schröder should enter his off-season regimen with his head held high and ready to carry his positive contributions into next season as the Thunder once again strive to assert themselves as championship contenders. In all, Dennis Schröder deserves a solid grade for his 2018-19 campaign and earns a respectable B+ grade for his contributions. Fans should be excited to see his progress next season as I believe he is primed for another big step forward.
