Like three teams in front of them the Bulls are in greatest need of adding a point guard to run the show in Chicago. Kris Dunn made some strides but he seems better suited as a backup and therefore the Bulls will continue to hunt for the perfect fit in this role.

Although the Bulls struggled they have some excellent pieces in place with youngsters Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. Considering the Bulls also have Zach LaVine who can light it up on any given night and added Otto Porter Jr. to assume the 3 and D role would I be that far off base from already picking the Bulls to make the greatest jump upward next season?

The key will be finding the man to run the point and adding some valuable vets who the youngsters will listen to (read: not Kyrie Irving).

White isn’t ranked ahead of Darius Garland on most boards but might actually be the better talent long term, but we’ll get into those particulars with our Draft Prospect Series.

That said, although White may not be the purest or best facilitator in the point guard group he doesn’t need to be in Chicago (at least immediately). That’s because for as much as LaVine has proven his better fit is at shooting guard he still has the ability to play make. So, adding a talent like White who can also shoot from range it adds versatility to the Bulls offense. Hey, being an OKC Thunder fan you know how valuable an asset of being able to create your own shot or shots for others is, so this pick feels like a no brainer for the Bulls who already boast more than their fair share of playmakers.
