2019 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: The post Combine edition, OKC Thunder still focused on shooting

Talen Horton-Tucker is truly an athletic freak, both on the hardwood and simply by measurables. Horton-Tucker is an 18 year old 6’4″ guard that has a wingspan of 7’1.25″ and a standing reach of 8’1″. The Guard out of Iowa State shows a ton of potential and upside but just needs time to grow his skills and develop the right way to become a very good NBA player.
With the Boston Celtics already having so much depth, not to mention their plethora of picks in this year’s NBA Draft, the Celtics can afford to allow Talen Horton-Tucker to grow and even spend time in the NBA G-League to see even more minutes and gain even more experience.
The perfect mentor at the NBA level for this youngster would be Marcus Smart. Therefore, the Celtics organization as a whole would be an incredible landing spot for the 18 year old swingman.
Despite being a “project” Horton-Tucker has shown enough flashes to project into developing into a quality offensive player and a very good defensive player.
