2019 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: The post Combine edition, OKC Thunder still focused on shooting
By Rylan Stiles
The Texas Tech forward is assuredly a top-five talent in this years NBA Draft, and if you ask me he could easily be a top-four guy. Culver is an elite shot creator and has the potential to find himself leading an NBA offense.
Culver can shoot off a dribble, he can get a moving shot off a screen with consistency, and of course, he can catch and shoot.
Jarret Culver can pair nicely with Sexton and what the Cavs are trying to build in Cleveland since LeBron James’ departure.
Culver is an 18.5 points per game scorer at the college level and enters at 20 years old. While he is not the young buck 18 year old, Culver still has a ton of upside to provide an NBA franchise.
Culver’s 54 effective shooting percentage is impressive given his extremely high usage rate with the Red Raiders that Culver lifted to the schools first Final Four appearance.
Culver was able to trade six rebounds and over one steal per game.
While he is a nice shooter from the mid-range, his 30 percent shot from 3-point range is a bit worrisome as defenses get tougher and the shot itself becomes more difficult.
