2. player. PG. Murray State. Ja Morant. 211. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Ja Morant has been looked at as a future Russell Westbrook type point guard, and Memphis hopes he is just that. A franchise player that can not only carry a franchise but put them on the map. This pick also allows them some flexibility in the trade market, getting out from under Mike Conley’s contract is all but a done deal this offseason.

Morant is an exciting player, an electrifying player. He is going to compare nicely with another young stud that was drafted by Memphis a season ago, Jaren Jackson Jr.

Morant can be a Donovan Mitchell like player that enters the league and just takes it by storm. Despite Zion Williamson coming in with all the hype, Morant might be the best rookie next year from this entire NBA Draft Class.

I think this is a can’t miss prospect and a great fit for Memphis in this years NBA Draft.
