Scouting Report. player. 41. 28. Pick Analysis. C. Missouri. Jontay Porter

Jontay Porter is an interesting first-round prospect. His history of knee injuries is worrisome, especially when you fact in his brother, a lottery pick a year ago, also entered the NBA Draft with injury concerns and has yet to play a minute of organized ball with the Denver Nuggets.

Porter though is an athletic big man but tore his ACL twice in a nine-month span. That athletism could be in question as he rehabs from those injuries.

As a freshman Porter averaged over two assists per game showing off his playmaking ability from the post.

Porter can space the floor extremely well with his very good catch and shoot ability. He is also an amazing passer to go along with his great vision.

He can handle the ball better than most big men even at the NBA level already. But he is not just a pace and space player, Porter can mix it up with his hard screen and rolls or pick and pops. At just 19.5 years that part of his game is developed beyond his years.

The Golden State Warriors system fits Jontay Porter perfectly if he can come back to the hardwood healthy.
