2019 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: The post Combine edition, OKC Thunder still focused on shooting

Jalen McDaniels is a prototypical player for the NBA in 2019. The center from San Diego State can play down low, and also has the skill set of a wing player. If the Cavs use the 5th pick wisely and see McDaniels fall to them at 26, to pair with Sexton and company, Cleveland could have the building blocks in place to reach the postseason in the not too distant future.
McDaniels has playmaking abilities despite being 6’9 and is a very good finisher at the rim. Couple that with his decent to above average shooting stroke, and you have yourself a steal at pick 26.
At worst I project McDaniels to be a role player and enjoy a long career in the NBA.
At best, he will be a low end starter that is just good enough to not get bumped off the starting five.
While that might not sound like much, McDaniels at pick 26 would be a steal for any team in the mid to late first round.
McDaniels turned in almost 16 points per game and 8 rebounds a year ago with San Diego State.
