34. Pick Analysis. Carsen Edwards. 25. player. Scouting Report. PG. Purdue

Carsen Edwards is an exciting player to watch, and one of the best clutch performers, if not the best clutch performer in this years NBA Draft class.

Edwards is a score first point guard that will need time to refine his playmaking abilities and defensive skillset.

Edwards is a viable replacement for Seth Curry who may have earned himself a lot of money on the open market this offseason after his solid playoff run.

If the Trail Blazers want to move on from Curry, Edwards can step right in and provide almost exactly what he did, with more upside and potential.

At this slot, and with this NBA Draft class, Edwards is the best pick for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Carsen Edwards is a player that has an extremely high ceiling, but if he does not improve his playmaking and defense, his future in the NBA could just be an above average role player. At pick 25, even that floor is pretty good.

Damian Lillard mentoring Carsen Edwards would be incredible for the Purdue guard’s career. Edwards has that killer instinct that Lillard also shares, while Dame can help him improve in the playmaking area and refine that clutch mindset.
