Admiral Schofield could be perfect fit for the OKC Thunder
By Rylan Stiles
Admiral Schofield is a perfect fit for the OKC Thunder who need a spark with the 21st pick. TI dives into why the Tennessee power forward fits team needs.
The NBA Draft can not get here soon enough, I do not just say that as an NBA Draft junkie who spends his summer pumping out prospect profiles, mock drafts, and watching a ton of film of these prospects. I say that as a confused OKC Thunder fan who just wants answers.
The 21st pick in the NBA Draft that looms just days away now currently belongs to the OKC Thunder. However, it has been rumored that the team is looking to shop said pick for salary cap relief.
That came after a report from earlier in the heat of NBA Draft season, that the team had already promised their 21st pick away to Mattisse Thybulle. That report quickly cooled off and was debunked later in the week.
So safe to say it has been a stressful month leading up to the NBA Draft, but as the dust begins to settle, anticipation fills OKC Thunder nation.
If the team keeps their pick and has not promised it to Thybulle, Sam Presti should absolutely take a look at Admiral Schofield.
Sam Presti has been looking high and low for a player like Admiral Schofield. Presti has swung for Patrick Patterson and Markieff Morris to name a few guys in the recent vintage of OKC.
Schofield is a four year college player who has a ton of experience and is pro ready right now. If the OKC Thunder keep their pick, they will have to spend it on a pro-ready player as they have limited trade assets and limited money to spend.
