Mock Draft 3.0 – Predicting how the dominoes fall, with view to fit, shifts, and OKC Thunder best bet
With the Bucks trade, the Pistons will now be afforded an opportunity to also make additional picks to build depth. It’s said Detroit has eyes for a specific player and there are good odds Herro is their man.
I write this with a bit of trepidation as Herro was long a coveted prospect the team at T.I. hoped would fall to the Thunder, but alas not everything pans out the way fans want.
The Pistons are in desperate need to add playmaking and perimeter shooting which Herro affords them on both counts. Although his defense isn’t considered his best asset, there is reason to believe he’ll work diligently with a defensive minded coach like Dwane Casey to fast track his success on that side of the court.
Moreover, his offensive skill set would help to spread a floor which often shrinks in and around star Blake Griffin, but Herro will also feature driving ability and a versatile offense to make the Pistons offense far less obvious.
