Same Name, Different Legacy

On March 20, 2019, the OKC Thunder retired the jersey of franchise lifer and beloved teammate Nick Collison. But, just because Mr. Thunder retired from the association, the league is not Collison-less just yet.

Darren Collison made a name for himself when he shined with the Clippers during one of Chris Paul‘s many absences. Again this season, Collison asserted himself in the absence of his teams best player. After Victor Oladipo went down with a season-ending injury, Collison stepped up and filled Vic’s void big time, helping the Pacers maintain decent positioning in the East’s playoff picture.

It seems 3-Point prowess is a common theme with players formerly drafted 21st overall. Collison led the league is 3-Point percentage during the 2017-18 campaign. He currently ranks 20th among active players in career 3-Point percentage, clocking in at 39.4 percent.
