NBA Draft Winners and Losers: David Griffin is back, Suns not shining, where OKC Thunder land
By Rylan Stiles
The Chicago Bulls got their point guard of the future and one of my favorite prospects in this draft in Coby White on Thursday night. It was dicey during more NBA Draft season to see White lasting to the Chicago Bulls selection, but almost everyone considered the two a perfect marriage.
White has the best hair in the NBA Draft and will dazzle the windy city with his ability to shoot the basketball.
Coby White stole NBA Draft night with his classic reaction to seeing his former North Carolina teammate Cameron Johnson get surprising picked by at pick 11 when many projected Johnson to fall outside of the NBA Lottery.
The point guard position is the hardest position for rookies to step right in and thrive at the NBA level, but White will have moments that captivate Bulls fans and the entire NBA during his rookie campaign.
The Bulls used their second-round pick to grab Daniel Gafford, a center from the University of Arkansas, who I thought had a chance to go in the first round.
