OKC Thunder star Russell Westbrook is in the news linked to his other favorite passion as he and other NBA stars appear in Paris at Fashion Week.

With both OKC Thunder superstars Russell Westbrook and Paul George undergoing offseason surgery fans may have expected not to hear much from them for the next few months. But, Westbrook is never one to be ignored by the masses. Subsequently, the star’s philanthropic efforts have been in the news. This week, however, much of the news about the Brodie is tied to his second passion – style, and fashion.

Honor The Gift Pop-Up Event:

He’s attending events and even had time to do a pop-up shop of his own line – Honor The Gift.

Serge Ibaka lists Westbrook atop his fashion best dressed:

Former OKC Thunder teammate and still good friend Serge Ibaka turned heads throughout the playoffs with his pregame wardrobe. Often his choices included colorful well-fitted suits which were a personal favorite.

Many NBA stars are displaying their wide-ranging tastes. Ibaka is definitely one of the better dressed NBA stars and in a recent CBC article by Neil Davidson excerpts from an interview ties Ibaka’s interest and fashion sense back to his homeland in the Congo.

"The 29-year-old Ibaka is a regular at the Paris fashion show. He joined Kanye West, singer Rita Ora, hip-hop star A$AP Rocky and fellow NBAers Russell Westbrook and Jaylen Brown at last year’s event."

Ibaka also listed his five best dressed (including himself – Oh Serge) and buddy Westbrook topped his list.

"In the same interview, he listed his five best-dressed athletes as “Russell Westbrook, Samuel Eto’o, David Beckham, Dwyane Wade and, of course, Serge Ibaka.”"

Paris Footwear News:

Westbrook again gets a mention in Footwearnews for his wardrobe and kicks. He was spotted at the Berluti show and an article by Ella Chochrek offered the following:

"Take the attendees at Berluti’s show yesterday.Russell Westbrook turned heads in a silky, swirl-printed shirt, which he teamed with fitted black pants. The NBA player pulled together his look with a Berluti crossbody bag and white sneakers from Jordan Brand, the shoe brand he’s sponsored by."

Westbrook hits front row of Dior:

Always on the cutting edge of fashion, Westbrook took in the Dior show put on by designer Kim Jones. Writer Roxanne Robinson of The Hollywood Reporter detailed the stars in attendance to view his gender bending menswear designs.

"Indeed, the front row of the spring-summer 2020 show was filled with just as many female fans decked out in his men’s designs —among them TV host Kelly Osbourne, actress Christina Ricci, supermodel Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace Moss Hack, musician Lily Allen and actress Noomi Repace —alongside guys such as actor Nick Robinson, NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook and musicians Miguel and J Balvin."

With Fashion Week in full swing odds are we’ll get more offerings from Russ and his NBA friends.
