The OKC Thunder will monitor Jawun Evans, who they are very familiar with during the NBA Summer League.
Jawun Evans played one game for the OKC Thunder varsity squad a year ago, and the only stat the guard from Oklahoma State University put up was a shot attempt. Evans split time between the Suns and Thunder in 2018-19, but in 2017-18 Evans played in 48 games for the Los Angeles Clippers varsity squad.
If you take Evans’ per 36 numbers from the 2017-18 season, he turned in ten points, with four assists and three rebounds a game.
In the G-League during the 2018-19 season, Evans scored 15 points per game with five assists and three rebounds a contest. Evans was extremely good in the G-League a year ago, and he likely will perform well again this NBA Summer League.
Evans will try and earn a two-way spot from the OKC Thunder, or another NBA franchise. Evans can be a valuable guard on a two-way deal, and showing out in Vegas is that first step.
Likelihood of making the roster: 3/10.
