Could still contend for a playoff spot:
Over the past few seasons, with the additions of Paul George, Carmelo Anthony and Dennis Schroder, OKC has seemed from an outside perspective to be going all in on the team to win a title.

OKC has been aggressive for many years, and with their haul of draft picks they received in return for Paul George (in addition to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari), could they try and flip those into another impact player?
Could OKC now make an appropriate offer to the Wizards for Bradley Beal? I don’t know how they would go about matching the salaries but a hypothetical lineup of Russ-Beal-Gallinari-Grant-Adams with SGA off the bench doesn’t sound much worse than last years lineup. Is that lineup capable of making the WCF? Most likely not, but it does keep OKC afloat in the playoff conversation and puts out a good product for the fans to see.
