Paul George filmed an entire ESPN documentary around returning to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Oklahoma City is a flyover state. After Kevin Durant left, they will never attract another star. Why did Sam Presti trade for Paul George? He is bound to go to L.A. and play for the Lakers.

That is what everyone said before and after the Paul George trade. No one wants to play with Russell Westbrook.

After the Thunder lost in the first round to the Utah Jazz, and after it was clear LeBron James was going to sign with the Lakers who had been heavily recruiting George since the time he wanted out of Indiana, all signs pointed to George getting out of Dodge.

He did not owe the city anything. Then, it was announced that George would feature his decision in an ESPN three-part mini-series on the six o’clock “Sportscenter.”

The national media had a field day with this. Why would Paul George go on ESPN and film the process just to announce he was returning to the OKC Thunder? This has L.A. written all over it.

However, that is exactly what he did. A three-part series on ESPN announcing that he will return to Oklahoma City and return to Russell Westbrook. Someone stayed.
