The Flip Shot region seeds

  1.  “The Flip Shot”: In the 2012 playoffs against Kobe Bryant and the L.A. Lakers, Westbrook capped off the series win for the OKC Thunder and Bryant’s last ever playoff series. The incredible shot electrified the Thunder fanbase and is still to this day a lot of fans favorite memory.
  2. Game 4 of the 2016 Western Conference Finals: In a huge win for the OKC Thunder, Russ posted 36 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. Leading the team in scoring that game and lifting the Thunder to a 3-1 series win.
  3. Halfcourt game-tying shot in Orlando 2015: After Victor Oladipo hit a step back over Andre Roberson, the Magic led 117-114 with 3.9 seconds left and the OKC Thunder without a timeout. Westbrook ran the length of the floor and launched a shot from the Magic logo to send the game into overtime.
  4. Russell Westbrook’s signature run across the court to fans pre-game: Before OKC Thunder home games, Russell Westbrook runs across the court to a section of fans and yells to get the crowd fired up, a ritual that will not soon be forgotten.
  5. The Thon Maker Dunk: The Brodie has always had rim-rattling dunks, but his poster of Thon Maker is one that many Thunder fans had as their phone screensavers for a long time, I know I did. The 6’3 guard leaped to dunk over one of the tallest players in the league.
  6. The Clint Capela Dunk: In the 2016 season, the same year Russ took off to win his MVP award, the Thunder were a second away from getting a five-second violation when Westbrook zoomed in to catch the inbound pass and slam on Rockets center Clint Capela to secure a win over Houston.
  7. Russ high fives brother after clutch 3 pointer in WCF:  The Western Conference Finals in 2016 when Westbrook hit a clutch three in his aforementioned great game four, and after a clutch 3-pointer he turns around and high fives his brother who just so happened to be in the first row behind Russ on his three.
  8. The bounce pass between the Raptors legs: In his MVP season, Russell Westbrook was obviously amazing, however, the bounce pass sent between the legs of the Raptors defense into the hands of Victor Oladipo running out on a fast break was a thing of beauty.
  9. Waving goodbye to Joel Embiid: Joel Embiid and the Russ have long had beef in the NBA, and after the OKC Thunder beat the 76ers for what has been a routine thing to date in OKC history, Westbrook waved goodbye to the big man…while on Joel’s home floor.
  10.  He goes for 31 points vs Suns: This game is special because, in 2012, Westbrook, Durant, and Harden combined for 91 points in a win over the Suns. Russ scored 31 points to go along with his ten assists, and four steals.
  11. What’s going on Saturday?: Russell Westbrook said this innocently before Kevin Durant‘s return to Oklahoma City in 2016.
  12. Don’t do they, Do you: In this commercial, Russell Westbrook notably says “They said don’t eat the seafood in Oklahoma.” giving a spotlight to the state, and their star Russell Westbrook in a mountain dew ad.
  13. Russell Westbrook steals an ally oop from his teammate: The point guard hilariously dunked on his own teammate, Enes Kanter.
  14. At Media Day in 2017, Russ had an unforgettable moment: Doing nothing besides being the great Russell Westbrook, flustered a member of the media.
  15. Pre-game dances from the bench: Westbrook is many things. A great basketball player, a fashion icon, and a great dancer. Pick any pre-game dance from the seats during warmups for this seed.
  16. The Guitar celebration against Lance and the Lakers: Well, there is a reason only one 16 seed has ever been able to steal a game in the NCAA tournament. Still, the Brodie’s hilarious guitar celebration from this past year is worth noting.
