The seeds for the Hist0ry region:

  1. Game Winner vs Denver: This is probably going to win the tournament in all honesty. Despite being the second overall one seed, this moment holds a special place in OKC Thunder fans hearts, but I am biased towards the immaculate flip shot. I think this moment is best summed up by Brian Davis, former voice of the Thunder, “What a perfect ending, to a historic day!”
  2. 40 point game in Memphis-2011: With Memphis up 2-1 in the series, and starting the game on an 8-0 run, OKC Thunder fans got nervous. Russ didn’t. He went on to score 40 and win the game for OKC.
  3. Signing on KD’s birthday: Signing his contract on Kevin Durant’s birthday is one of the most savage moves you will ever see.
  4. 17-minute triple-double: Earning a triple-double in just seventeen minutes of play is pretty jaw-dropping.
  5. Passing Wilt: Anytime you can pass Wilt in any category, it is a big deal.
  6. Single-Handedly Beats Dallas-2017: Russell Westbrook literally beat the Dallas Mavericks all by himself in a great single-game performance.
  7. 4th of July cupcake post: After Kevin Durant signed with the Golden State Warriors on the 4th of July, Westbrook made an interesting post on Instagram of a trey of cupcakes saying happy 4th to his fans right after KD made his decision.
  8. Now I do what I want Instagram Post: Again, after KD left, Russ’ now I do what I want Instagram story is frankly iconic.
  9. Rock the Baby on Patrick Beverley: After the Pat Bev beef, Russ rocking the baby on him was poetic justice.
  10. Shammgod pass to Adams: This pass, and play, was one of the most “What just happened?!” plays. This play will be on every single Russell Westbrook highlight package for the rest of time. It is criminally low in my seedings, in all honesty, and could make a magical run through the tournament.
  11. Mid-air pass to Nerlens Noel: Westbrook’s passing ability is unreal. Just look at this dump off to Noel
  12. Behind the head pass to Adams: Where did the ball even go on this pass?
  13. Reaction to the bird in Philly: Again, another much meme’d moment in Westbrook’s career. A Philly fan flips the bird to Russ and he reacts with a priceless point into the crowd and a look on his face that clearly conveyed “whose men is this?”
  14. Can’t win with these cats shirt: KD burners, adopting cats, and pettiness. KD famously said no one can win with these cats when he tried to defend himself on burner Twitter accounts. Westbrook wore an adopt a cat shirt. Just a chefs kiss of pettiness.
  15. Photographer outfit: After KD pulled up to the Superbowl as a photographer, Russ pulled up to a game in a photographer vest, another great moment in Russ’ petty history.
  16. Kicking the ball from Damian Lillard: And finally, the strongest 16 seed that truly still has no shot, Russell Westbrook kicking the ball away from Damian Lillard as Dame reaches down to grab it.
