Since no news regarding Abdel Nader being waived was forthcoming on July 15th it’s believed the Thunder guaranteed his contract. What role he’ll assume this season is also unclear. At this point, it feels like Nader will be given an opportunity to carve out his own minutes and if not he’s an economic contract to have on the books.

Other players who will be given the option of succeeding defining their roles in training camp are Donte Grantham, Jawun Evans, and Kevin Hervey.

What we do know is Luguentz Dort was signed to a 2-way contract with the OKC Blue with the Thunder hoping to develop the youngster to assume a position within the varsity club in the future. For now, they’ll focus on building their games this summer with a view to claiming a spot on the bench with the varsity team this coming season.
