The OKC Thunder are intelligently tanking and here’s why

The Silent Tank

The OKC Thunder’s front office appears to be gearing up for Chris Paul and  Danilo Gallinari to form their own dynamic duo with Steven Adams as the defensive anchor and heart of the team.

I think this is a subtle hint that OKC is trusting their own process. The same process that maximizes their phenomenal scouting of young talent. I expect the team to get a lot out of what they have.

The OKC Thunder have enjoyed some amazing playoff success for an expansion team. This situation is only considered a tank by the OKC Thunder’s competitive standards.

OKC scouting and development boasts three draft picks turned league MVP’s, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden respectively. With another draft pick that proved to be a key piece in the Toronto Raptors’ recent championship run– Serge Ibaka.

Seriously the last nine freakin’ years were dominated by these players and they were all drafted and developed on the OKC Thunder, coincidence I think not!
