Grading and examining every OKC Thunder player contract

Hamidou Diallo:
Two-years, $3 million (3rd-year RFA)
These are the type of deals that the Thunder should look to make as they go into rebuilding mode.
Trading for a young second-round pick with high athleticism upside to see if you can mold him into an NBA player. The more chances you take on players, the more chances you have to hit on one. The Mavericks signed Maxi Kleber for nothing from overseas, the Rockets kept signing two-way players till one hit (Danuel House) and now they have a contributing player on a great contract.
Even though Hamidou Diallo was legitimately bad last season (17 percent from three, 1.2 assists per 36, below-average true shooting) that’s what you expect from a 20-year-old second-round rookie.
Despite his perimeter shooting woes, Diallo showed flashes last season. With his tremendous athleticism and effort, Diallo has the chance to develop into a solid NBA player with the OKC Thunder on a cheap contract.
