Darius Bazley:

More from Thunderous Intentions

Four-years, $12 million (5th-year RFA)

Since I haven’t seen him play a professional minute, there is no evidence or anything to go off of. Still, with Darius Bazley on a standard rookie contract until there is more to measure it’s difficult to give him a grade other than the fact rookie contracts are always appealing until the prospect proves to be a bust or someone to invest in.

Grade: N/A

Abdel Nader:

One-year, $1.6 million (2nd-year is non-guaranteed)

Okay, maybe I was wrong about the whole “you can’t have a bad negative contract” thing, Abdel Nader is one of the worst players in the league (494/514 in ESPN’s RPM).

There’s nothing appealing about Abdel Nader, he’s not a shooter, not a defender, not a playmaker, and he isn’t young either (going to be 26 in September). I’d rather sign a young project like Daryl Macon or one of the remaining free agents like Kenneth Faried or Thabo Sefolosha.

While the deal itself isn’t bad ($1.6 million is nothing in the NBA) I just don’t see a point of having him on the roster.

Grade: C?
