Grading and examining every OKC Thunder player contract

Dennis Schroder:
Two-years, $31 million dollars
If you were like me, you did not enjoy the Carmelo Anthony experience in Oklahoma City. Well, Anthonys one year in OKC compared to Schroder’s stats last season were awfully similar.
Although only being 25 years old, Schroder has yet to show any real improvement over his NBA career. Dennis Schroder had his second-worst season in terms of points-per-shot last season and had his worst season in terms of assist: usage ratio, per Cleaning the Glass.
Schroder’s 15 million per is 20th among all NBA point guards. While that doesn’t seem bad on the surface, there are many other point guards who I would much rather prefer relative to their price, including Delon Wright, Tyus Jones, Spencer Dinwiddie, Fred VanVleet and more.
Point being, Schroder is being paid like he’s a starting point guard when he’s not. Would Schroder be happy coming off the bench behind Terrance Ferguson or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander? The Thunder currently have three point guards on the current roster, one of which is among one of the highest-paid players in the league, and the other is a young rising star guard who you want to give all the playing time in the world to develop.
