Shai Gilgeous-Alexander:

Three years, $13.6 million dollars (4th-year RFA)

Like every good young player still signed to their rookie deal, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander‘s contract is a steal. The most valuable player in the NBA right now is most likely Luka Doncic, as he is under control for many more years while being a low cap hit.

With Chris Paul at least starting the season for the OKC Thunder SGA stands to gain invaluable knowledge. Having played behind Patrick Beverley last season Gilgeous-Alexander added invaluable defensive acumen to his game, but CP3 offers so much more to help the youngster expand and grow his game particularly offensively.

Shai’s cap hit this upcoming season ranks 51st among all point guards in the league, instantly making him one of the most valuable young players in the league.

There’s not much more I can say, good young player on rookie deal = good contract.
