No. 19: Cleveland Cavaliers – Moon Dog and Sir CC

The Cavaliers get an A+ for subverting the Mascot formula. My recurring issue with this dynamic duo is how poorly designed and seemingly unnecessary Sir CC is. Yeah, I said it! I think he’s holding Moon Dog back.

Just like Brian from Family Guy deserves his own spinoff show, Moon Dog should have his own one dog act. Nobody would pay money to see Kevin DiCicco or Emily Elizabeth take shots, but I bet they’d pay good money to see Air Bud and Clifford the big red dog dunk.

I have nothing against Sir CC, I think he is a crucial part of the act. Moon Dog just deserves to shine more. I personally can’t stand their design choice.

I guess I’ll give the Cavaliers credit for having two separate mascots, but again Moon Dog reins supreme!
