Patrick Patterson

There’s no way to sugarcoat this, but Patrick Patterson‘s last season with the Thunder was bad.

Brought in as a floor spacer during the 2017 offseason, Patterson was supposed to provide the Thunder with good team defense along with the ability to hit open threes.

Patterson finished the 17-18 season shooting 38.6 from three, a very good number for the power forward position. However, last season Patterson dramatically declined to only 33.6 percent on the same number of attempts per game. Last season, Patterson’s 49.3 true shooting mark ranked behind fellow inefficient players like Russell Westbrook and Dennis Schroder.

58 games into the season, Patterson was out of the rotation (excluding garbage time). Not something you want from your biggest free-agent signing of all time (lol).

Like most players though, Patterson had a few good games sprinkled into his season. His 17 point outing versus the Suns was his best performance of the year.

Stat line:

  • 10-28-18 versus Phoenix: 17 points / 4 rebounds (6-10 overall, 2-5 from three)

Additional Performances:

  • 11-30-18 versus Atlanta: 13 points / 3 assists / 3 steals (4-9 overall, 3-8 from three)
  • 1-12-19 versus San Antonio: 13 points / 4 rebounds / 2 assists (5-7 overall, 3-3 from three)
