No. 6 Houston Rockets – Association

The Rockets design team comprehends that subtly is beautiful. A slight alteration of a simple pattern on a jersey can turn something from mediocre to must buy. This is something that has happened with this new take on last year’s Rockets’ jerseys.

With the help of a superstar point guard whom I’m intentionally neglecting to name, they are the favorites in the Western Conference today. These jerseys seem so simplistic originally, but the more you examine it the more idiosyncrasies you begin to notice. Such as the font change and the new stripe pattern.

No. 5 Golden State Warriors – Icon

The mere sight of the Golden State’s jerseys strikes fear into some fan’s hearts and evokes bad memories. The irony is that even though they eliminated the color white from their team colors, they have still maintained the roots of what I call their “Gold Rush” years.

Perhaps these jerseys are a perfect metaphor for the current Golden State Warriors roster. Some adjustments and changes, but overall the core of their initial championship run will remain the same.
