The OKC Thunder in 2K20 are far better than you think

The OKC Thunder are ranked as a tier 3 team this year in NBA2K20 but I have had tremendous success with them since the game was released. Users who pick the OKC Thunder will enjoy a versatile playing experience.

I’m happy to inform you that with the latest patch update for NBA2K20, the OKC Thunder have maintained their effectiveness online and offline. They have an outstanding defense with a plethora of scoring options.

Some 2K players will select teams with the expectation of playing a certain playstyle, but just as your human counterpart would pick up on your gameplan, so will NBA2K20’s A.I.

For example, if you attempt to win a game by only isolating with Chris Paul, the defense will immediately pick up on it and thwart your efforts in the process. In order to negate this, the player will have to become creative with their offensive and defensive schemes.

OKC Thunder Defense

Outside of the Los Angles Clippers, you won’t find any teams that have the same presence on the defensive end that the OKC Thunder has.

When Steven Adams is on the floor the entire team sees a boost in all of their defensive skills, due to his defensive leader badge. Chris Paul has 10 defensive badges alone. The length of the lineup makes it increasingly difficult for the opposing offense to get shots off when playing tight defense.

OKC Thunder Offense

Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are like the rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that jump-start this offense. The team goes as they do.

In tangent with Steven Adams and Danilo Gallinari they these four are capable of doing damage in many different ways.

I personally enjoy running pick and roll sets. If CP3 is running the show, it is easy to take the open 3 off the switch or step inside for the mid-range bucket. Alternatively, having Gilgeous-Alexander as the roll man can easily scramble the defense and force them to make a hasty decision.

The only way to know if you have what it takes to beat the rest of the NBA is to take them on yourself. If you’re a true OKC Thunder fan, I suggest starting  MYGM mode and seeing if you can turn the franchise into a dynasty.
