Can Billy Donovan prove he deserves a clean slate with the OKC Thunder?
By Rylan Stiles
Will he get a second chance?
Yes, and no. I think Sam Presti and the OKC Thunder brass will evaluate him on this season alone in April when it is time to decide if the organization wishes to retain him or move on from the head man.

For the fans, I think it is too much to ask of them to give Donovan a clean slate. Fans have wanted him fired for two years, and I do not think that anger is going away.
This season is not about wins and losses for Billy Donovan. To me, it is about looking in control, in charge, confident, and knowledgable. The win and loss column will not end up being that pretty by a lot of people’s estimation.
The OKC Thunder will likely miss the playoffs for the third time since coming to the City, but things like the rotations, player development, in-game adjustments, and play designs will be the determining factor in whether Donovan earns another contract with the OKC Thunder, or if he returns to the college ranks.
