Roundtable Sessions- OKC Thunder expectations and former players segment
Tamberlyn Richardson:
The obvious answer is below (Rylan sums it up perfectly).
So I’ll take the next one on the list the Clippers games to see how each of the traded players perform and how the crowds at each venue greet (or boo) them. I’m also keen to see the cousins (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nickeil Alexander-Walker) play each other.
Rylan Stiles:
Russell Westbrook’s return to Oklahoma City I think is the obvious answer and the correct answer. After all, he has done for the franchise, the city, and the fanbase, I think the OKC Thunder will break their self imposed rule of “No video tributes”
For Russ and the atmosphere will be the polar opposite for Russ than KD. While the volume level will likely be even louder, it obviously will not be booed. This will be the first time the OKC Thunder faithful gets a chance to publically thank Russell Westbrook for all he has done and it will have to wait until January 9th.
Aidan E:
The return of Russ, PG, and playing the Pelicans because I can’t wait to watch Zion.
Chase Beal-Sharp:
The two games I am looking forward to watching the most for this season are Westbrook’s return to OKC as the Thunder host the Rockets on January 09 and the Thunder playing the Atlanta Hawks at home on January 24.
The reason I am looking forward to the Thunder vs the Hawks is because we will be seeing two of the brightest young cores in the league playing each other. It will also be Trae Young returning to Oklahoma to play at home.
Matthew Hallet:
All of them. No seriously, in the spirit of the question, I am keen to see games against the Golden State Warriors this season. They have no one who can guard Adams and he will simply destroy them.
Kevon Stewart:
OKC Thunder vs Warriors on 11/9. This is another rivalry match, which can demonstrate the team’s proficiency against a top team.
Tyler Barger:
When the Houston Rockets and Clippers come to Chesapeake Arena
