Sacramento Kings:

Offense: (92.0) – 30th
Defense: (114.7) –  27th
Net: (minus 22.7) – 29th

Games Week 1: (0-3)
Games Week 2 (4 games): Oct. 28 vs. Nuggets | Oct. 30 vs. Hornets | Nov. 1 vs. Jazz | Nov 3 at Knicks

A season removed from this young squad vaulting out of the gate and making everyone take notice it was expected this club would be among a group vying for the last playoff berth in the West.

That may still end up being the case but the first week for the Kings was anything but ideal. They lost all three games and did so by an embarrassing amount. Luke Walton was brought on as the new Head Coach with the goal of improving the defense but the youngsters haven’t measured up with the 27th ranked defense.

Certainly losing Marvin Bagley didn’t help nor has the absence of Harry Giles who we’re all waiting to be consistently healthy. I wonder if Vlade Divac is questioning letting Willie Cauley-Stein leave so easily in free agency now (mind you he only just got back on the floor himself).
