Cleveland Cavaliers

Offense: (97.0) – 28th
Defense: (96.0) –  4th
Net: (plus +1.0) – 18th

Games Week 1: (1-1)
Games Week 2 (4 games): Oct. 28 at Bucks | Oct. 30 vs. Bulls | Nov. 1 at Pacers | Nov 3 vs. Mavs

Much like many of the teams who will end up heading to the lottery, the Cavaliers have started the season performing above expectations.

This is partially due to teams underestimating the Cavaliers in their initial meetings and because the veterans on the team are performing out of their minds.

Both Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson are averaging double-doubles and not just of the lower 10-10 nature. Love is back to rebounding at an elite level averaging 15.5 boards in the opening week.

Still, the key for the Cavaliers is to develop their young backcourt of rookie Darius Garland and sophomore Collin Sexton. New Head Coach John Beilein’s ability to mastermind that progression was the primary reason for his hiring.
