The OKC Thunder hopes to extend the current win streak to three as they face the San Antonio Spurs who’ve lost two in a row. Gameday breaks down the match.

The OKC Thunder offense is finally clicking in the past two games. Young players Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Darius Bazley and Hamidou Diallo are all producing tremendous efforts every night. It was also good to have the entire team healthy last game out against the Orlando Magic, with the exception of Andre Roberson.

The Magic game was one the young Thunder squad will be able to learn a number of valuable lessons from. The game was in the balance when Gilgeous-Alexander hit a corner three which gave the OKC Thunder the momentum midway through the fourth. They then got consecutive stops and scored the other way.

This is very different from not executing down the stretch against the Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards. The Thunder have been able to establish leads late in games and then hold the other teams off. This execution in the clutch is crucial for a young team learning how to win.

The San Antonio Spurs, on the other hand, are looking to stop a slide where they have lost two games and are also defend their home court. They are an incredibly well coached team that have star power and experience in the form of DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge.

This is going to be a huge test for the young OKC Thunder team, moving away from their home court for the first time in four games against an extremely solid Western Conference team. This brings us to the keys to the game.
