Through nine games fans have witnessed why Chris Paul still has value and was once considered the best point guard in the Association.

This match served up more evidence. While his16 points and nine assists were essential to the win it was his leadership that could be credited for the victory.

The Warriors put together a brilliant third quarter to erase the 23 point lead and when it looked like the wheels were coming off it was CP3 who calmed his teammates. As the Warriors took a two-point lead to go up 88-86 Paul delivered.

In that final frame, Chris Paul assisted on three plays, scored a trio of two-pointers and went 4 of 4 from the stipe. In the Thunder 30 point quarter, CP3 assisted or scored on 18 of the team’s points.

It wasn’t a stand out performance by  Shai Gilgeous-Alexander but nonetheless, the Canadian was able to contribute to the win.

Like Paul he was active in the fourth quarter and in the end he chipped into all areas of the game with 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Six of his points came in the crucial final frame.
