Yet another competitive week for the OKC Thunder with some impressive wins which lands them in the middle of my NBA Power Rankings. Here’s how all the teams rank.

Flu season has hit the 6ix and with it my week three power ranking shows up a tad later than anticipated. Since each week ties into the previous week’s ranking it’s important to get it up so you have something to compare to the previous week and subsequent week.

With that here is week three power ranking stating with the 30th ranked team…

New York Knicks:

Offense: (99.3) – 30th
Defense: (109.5) –  21st
Net: (minus -10.2) – 30th

Record: 2-8
Games Week 3: (1-2) Won vs. Mavericks, lost to Pistons, Cavaliers
Games Week 4 (3 games): Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Bulls| Thursday, Nov. 14 vs. Mavericks | Friday, Nov. 15 vs. Hornets

David Fizdale had a rough week in the Mecca. It started with the blowout at the end of week 2 when he reinserted RJ Barrett into the game.

Post game the coach was asked about the move and while his response wasn’t “take that for data” material it was close. Fizdale said “We got to get off this load-management crap, this kid is 19. Drop it already.”

It opened a can of worms with analysts, former players and pundits all taking sides. Then mid-week with Mr. Load Management Kawhi Leonard sat out versus the Bucks it only served to intensify the focus on the subject.

Meanwhile, the brain trust elected to hold an impromptu press conference (read: James Dolan told them to do it) to state their disappointment in the team’s performance. The irony is management were the ones who brought in all the free agent forwards – not Fizdale but it’s already looking like Coach Fiz will be the fall guy.
