Net: (minus -1.7 ) – 17th

Record: 5-7
Games Week 4: (1-2) Won vs. Bulls, lost to Jazz, Nuggets

Caris LeVert said in an interview the club was figuring out when it was Kyrie’s time and when it was ‘the others time”. That comment keeps replaying in my head.

Ultimately, this is what the Nets asked for by signing two superstars. How they navigate integrating the first star (Kyrie) will go a long way to how they deal with things when the second arguably bigger more talented star joins the mix (Kevin Durant).

Undoubtedly the fact the Celtics are seemingly back to the type of club they were in the season Kyrie Irving missed the playoffs injured and the young Celtics (Jayson Tatum/Jaylen Brown) feasted but are doing it with Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward (until his injury) while the Nets seem to be struggling can’t help but be a growing narrative.

Especially when the Irving sits versus the Bulls and the Nets not only win but more closely resemble last year’s team and what made them special. Mind you it was Chicago but if the wins keep piling up without Irving in the lineup this has the potential to start affecting the locker room and the chemistry of the team.
